A song recorded with Foundling Studios about a road trip back home, in May 2016.

Driving around Copper Fields,
through the thick clouds, decaying grounds,
we pull up to fill the car, and then,
a promise to myself, abandoned,
and we hit the road again,

I have hindsight on my side,
memories hazy from all these pink skies,
how do you recall your hometown?
an old chapter of a book tightly bound,

I cant go back to,
the places I used to,
I gave up to,
become somebody new,
the winter grew,
my regret did too,
and my nerves don't calm themselves anymore,
shakey hands inside a storm,
trapped inside Jack Frost,
and then Im with you.

I have you next to me,
and always on my mind.

released February 3, 2017
